United Conservative Nomination · Grande Prairie–Wapiti
Your Trusted Voice for Grande Prairie–Wapiti. Karen believes leadership starts with listening, that a promise kept beats a speech made, and that around here we look after each other first. She's asking for the chance to earn your trust — one neighbour at a time.
⏳ Membership deadline: August 11
Why Karen · It's all about others
Ask anyone who knows Karen Peters and you'll hear the same story told different ways: when something needs doing for someone else, Karen's already doing it. The extra chair at her table. The neighbour driven to an appointment. The quiet help that never needed an audience. That's not a campaign strategy — that's just who she is.
Karen believes what most of us believe: that you give before you ask, that your word is your bond, and that the job of a representative is to serve the people who sent her — not the other way around.
"You shouldn't have to earn your MLA's attention. Your MLA should earn your trust."
Where Karen stands
No fog, no "we'll see." Here's what your trusted voice will fight for — and you're invited to hold her to every word.
Peace Country oil, gas and forestry feed our families and fund the whole province. Karen will stand with our workers and against Ottawa's overreach — emissions caps, impossible mandates, and policies written by people who've never worked a lease road.
Nobody should measure an emergency in highway hours. Recruit and keep rural doctors and nurses, strengthen the regional hospital and local clinics, and report rural wait times honestly.
When you call for help from a county road, minutes matter. More boots on the ground, real consequences for repeat offenders, and respect for the property rights of the people who live here.
Farm families deal in real numbers — inputs, fuel, freight, interest. Lower the burdens, defend the landowner, and never let consultation mean a notice after the decision's made.
Government should respect your paycheque like you had to earn it — because you did. Lower taxes, honest budgeting, and no new schemes that make groceries, fuel and life cost more.
Trust is the real issue under every other issue. Karen will hold real town halls, publish how she votes and why, and treat every constituent like a neighbour — because you are one.
The one small ask · Deadline August 11
The next MLA for Grande Prairie–Wapiti will likely be chosen at the UCP nomination — by local members. If you're not on the list by Monday, August 11, someone else decides for you.
Party eligibility rules: Alberta resident (6 of the last 12 months), Canadian citizen, age 14+. Memberships are purchased on unitedconservative.ca, never on this site.
Neighbour-funded
No big-money machine behind this campaign — just neighbours. $50 puts fuel in the truck for a day of doorknocking. $100 puts signs on a county road. $250 rents a hall for an open-door coffee. Every dollar works close to home.
Why e-transfer? Every dollar goes to the campaign — no processor skimming 3% off your generosity. Old school, like a handshake.
You gave first — so ask something of Karen. Reply to any campaign email with what you need from your next MLA. She reads every message and answers within 48 hours.

An hour of calls. A sign by your gate. A pot of coffee for six neighbours. Campaigns like Karen's are built from exactly this — and nothing else.
The party's site prefers its own window — no problem.
